Teens in grass

The Canby Teen Library Advisory Council (TLAC) is a leadership development program for middle and high school-aged youth. The TLAC meets to discuss ideas for future events and make teen collection recommendations. Snacks are provided.

Throughout the year Teen Library Advisory Council members work with library staff to:

  • Suggest and help plan teen activities at the Canby Public Library.
  • Help at online and in-person events.
  • Help get the word out about teen events both in the library and the Canby area.
  • Suggest  titles for books, DVDs, graphic novels, etc. for the young adult collection.
  • Give feedback on teen materials and activities.

Membership is open by application to a limited number of middle school and high school students.

The next TLAC meeting is TBD.
