Friends of the Canby Library
About
The Friends of the Canby Public Library is a volunteer 501(c)3 nonprofit, member-based organization dedicated to supporting the Canby Public Library. The Friends believe that a good library is essential to the cultural, educational and economic well-being of the community. Members of the Friends of the Canby Public Library are advocates and ambassadors for the Canby Public Library.
Through revenues raised at the Book Garden Store, the Friends provide funding for a diverse range of library programs and services, including summer reading, cultural passes, family, adult, and musical programming.
You can help by becoming a Friend, Friend Volunteer or donating. Friends are members of the Canby community who believe that a good library is essential to the well being and livability of the city.
Ways to Give
Material Donations:
The Book Garden Store accepts hardbacks and paperbacks in clean condition. DVDs, CDs and audiobooks must be in working order and magazines cannot be more than 3 months old. We do not accept encyclopedias, dictionaries, computers manuals, VHS tapes and readers digest books. Please contact us directly if you have rare or collectable items to donate. *Tax deductible as allowed by law.
Monetary Donations:
The Friends of the Canby Public Library accepts unrestricted monetary donations in any amount. Contact us to make arrangements or use our PayPal account. *Tax deductible as allowed by law.
