About Us

Canby Public Library is a department of the City of Canby and member of the Libraries in Clackamas County (LINCC) consortium. When the library opened its Holly Street location in the late 1980’s, the library circulated about 77,000 items annually. Four decades later, we now circulate over 350,000 items annually. In addition, we have over 1,000 youth participants in the summer reading program, and thousands more attend various programs, visit exhibits, use the internet and computers, and take advantage of the spacious and welcoming facility. The library is here to support the community in their pursuit of information whether it be for research, business development, or recreation.

Mission

The Canby Public Library will be recognized as a dynamic and transformational force in the community by creating an environment that nurtures intellectual freedom, inspires curiosity, connects people with resources, supports new technologies, and contributes to the success of the community.

Vision

We are dedicated to providing the highest level of service to all library customers and ensuring open access to appropriate and usefully organized resources; equitable service policies; equitable access; and accurate, unbiased, and courteous responses to all requests.
