Ginny Stevens - Aurora Watercolor Artist on display March 1 - April 30

Excerpt from artist statement:

I enjoy the spontaneity and flow of watercolor, the unexpectedness that can give a painting life, and the hazards that challenge me. My wish is to portray many subjects with a degree of looseness and liveliness that allows the viewer to see more than just a photo-realistic rendering. Recently I have begun to paint some watercolors more experimentally, without necessarily having a photo reference or subject in mind to begin with but allowing even more the qualities of the paint and water to indicate the direction that the painting will take.
