Transit Asset Maintenance Plan Overview

In 2016, the Federal Transit Administration (FTA) issued 49 CFR Part 625, requiring public transit providers receiving federal transit assistance to implement Transit Asset Management (TAM) practices.

Canby Area Transit (CAT) meets these requirements by partnering with the City of Canby’s Facilities, Fleet, and Parks Departments to manage the maintenance of all city-owned properties, buildings, equipment, and federally funded assets, including transit vehicles.

This Transit Asset Maintenance Plan outlines CAT’s policies and procedures for maintaining its vehicles and facilities.    The primary goals are to enhance safety, extend asset life, and ensure continued delivery of safe, comfortable, and reliable transportation for riders, while providing efficient service to the broader community.
