Americans with Disabilities (ADA) Plan
Canby Area Transit is dedicated to providing accessible, high-quality transportation services to all members of the community, including individuals with disabilities. Accessibility is a core element of CAT's service design—impacting everything from vehicle layout and route planning to customer amenities.
In compliance with Section 223 of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), CAT offers complementary paratransit services to ADA-eligible riders. These services are designed for individuals who, due to a disability, are unable to use CAT's fixed-route bus system.
The CAT 2025 Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Plan outlines the Dial-a-Ride services available, eligibility criteria under the ADA, and the certification process for qualifying riders.
These policies and service systems were developed with robust public input, including regular meetings with the Transit Advisory Committee and formal review and adoption by the Canby City Council.
