New Civic Building

Administration provides a number of direct and support services including overall day-to-day management of operations for the City organization and City Council by the City Administrator. Additional responsibilities of the department include the office of the City Recorder, and legal counsel to the Mayor and City Council through the office of the City Attorney. The City Recorder is the custodian responsible for the management of City records and provides administrative support to the City Council and URA Board. The City Recorder also serves as the City’s Elections official. The City Attorney is responsible for providing a broad range of professional legal services to City officials, management, and staff. The City Attorney is also responsible for risk management, overseeing property, auto, equipment and liability insurance claims.

Responsibilities of this department also includes processing business licenses, small animal permits,  liquor licenses, records management, and public record requests.
