Swim Instructors & Lifeguards

The City of Canby is looking for new staff to be trained as Swim Instructors and Lifeguards. 

Swim Evaluations are available Monday-Thursday at 7:00 p.m. or Saturday at 10:00 a.m.  Canby Swim Center is located at 1190 S. Ivy,  Canby, OR 97013. Additional information is on the flyer below. 

Swim Evaluation:

1) Jump into deep end of the pool, swim 150 yards using freestyle and/or breast stroke with proper form, tread water for 2 minutes without using arms, swim 50 yards.

2)Starting in shallow end, swim 20 yards, submerge to 7-10 ft. Grab 10lb brick, resurface and swim back to shallow end on back while holding brick with both hands.
