Neighborhood Past Achievements

Habitat for Humanity volunteers

Members in their new, bright blue T-shirts, bearing the slogan Neighbors Helping Neighbors turned out for the April 23rd groundbreaking ceremony for the first Habitat for Humanity project in Canby.

During the summer and early fall, RNA volunteers worked more than 200 hours, digging trenches, framing walls, installing insulation, roofing, and painting. Other volunteers organized a fund-raising yard sale and a neighborhood picnic, with the proceeds earmarked for Habitat. On September 23, 2005, the Riverside Neighborhood Association was proud to present a check for $1,000 to the Canby Chapter of Habitat for Humanity.
