Fix It Violations

The Fix It Compliance Program allows cited drivers to repair or correct a violation in exchange for a dismissal of the violation.

If you have received a fix it violation that is not equipment related (i.e. Failure to Carry Proof of Insurance, Expired Registration, Improper Display of Tags, etc.) you may not be required to visit the Police Department before coming to court. Please call the court at 503-266-4027, Option 7, for more details.

If you have received a fix it violation that is for an equipment violation (i.e. Improper Exhaust System, Defective Lighting, etc.),  you must follow the below steps to qualify for dismissal of the violation.

1. Repair/correct the violation(s) listed on the citation.

2. Bring the vehicle to the Canby Police Department, 1175 NW 3rd Avenue, Canby, OR. 97013, Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.

3. Use the red phone in the Police Department lobby to call non-emergency dispatch. Notify the dispatcher that you are at the Canby Police Department with a "Fix It Ticket" and need an officer. An officer will verify the violation(s) have been corrected and will sign the Fix It document you were given at the time of the stop.

4. Bring the signed Fix It document to the Canby Municipal Court at 222 NE 2nd Avenue, Canby, OR. 97013 on or before your court appearance date and time. The Canby Municipal Court is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

5. Pay the $50 administrative Court fee for each correct violation. The court will dismiss the violation if the above steps are successfully completed.
