Canby Area Transit’s Title VI Policy Statement
Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 states: “No person in the United States shall, on the grounds of race, color, or national origin, be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination under any program or activity receiving federal financial assistance.” Canby Area Transit is committed to complying with the requirements of Title VI in all of its programs and activities.
Making a Title VI Complaint
Any person who believes that they have been aggrieved by an unlawful discrimination practice under Title VI may file a complaint with the Canby Area Transit a department of the City of Canby. Such complaints must be made in writing and filed with the City of Canby within 180 days following the date of the alleged discrimination occurrence.
