There are many ways for a citizen to get involved in City government: register to vote, volunteer to help a senior citizen, become a reserve deputy, become a volunteer fireman, join a community planning organization or join an advisory commission or board. You can also volunteer at the library or in the parks.

November 3, 2020 Election

Candidate Packet

Terms of office for Mayor Brian Hodson, Councilor Trygve Berge, Councilor Tim Dale, Councilor Traci Hensley, and Councilor Sarah Spoon will expire on December 31, 2020. Three of the Council Positions are four-year terms and one is a two-year term due to a resignation last year.  The three candidates receiving the highest number of votes will have four-year terms.  The candidate who receives the fourth highest number of votes will serve a two-year term. The winner of the Mayor position will serve a two year term that commences in January 2021.   The first day to file with the City Elections Officer (the City Recorder) is June 3, 2020Nomination papers will be accepted from 8:00 a.m. on June 3 through 5:00 p.m. on August 20, 2020.  For more information or questions please contact the City Recorder,  Melissa Bisset at 503-266-0733 or: bissetm@canbyoregon.gov
