Date of swearing in: January 7, 2015
Educational background: Master of Arts in Teaching from Lewis and Clark College
Bachelor of Arts in English from Portland State University
Work history: High School English Teacher; Library Storytime Presenter: Activities Leader at Metropolitan Family Services; long-term volunteer at the Canby Public Library and the Canby School District; stay-at-home mom
Government and Committee Experience: Transit Advisory Committee, Canby Adult Center, and Canby School District.
What you'd like Canby to know about you: I grew up in Canby and then went away to college and studied, worked, and traveled in other cities, states, and countries for many years until I returned to Canby 5 years ago with my husband and 3 daughters. I’ve been involved in several community groups and projects over the past few years: the Teacher Adoption Program for the Canby School District, the Friends of the Library, my Homeowners’ Association, The Canby Community Preschool, the Youth Running Club, and Eccles Elementary’s Battle of the Books.

Through my deep involvement with different segments of the Canby community, I will continue to enact the value of “inclusive community,” for which the city council strives.
